Logistics from Denver to Moab
Nov. 10th
6:00am | Meet at The Denver School of Photography on Nov. 10th for those that are traveling in the van with the rest of the group.
Headcount, gear check, and load luggage into the travel van.
Other’s traveling independently need to rendezvous with the rest of the group in Moab by 1:00pm on Nov. 10th
6:30am | Depart from The Denver School of Photography, begin 6 hour drive to Moab.
Arrive in Moab on Nov. 10th at 12:30pm. Eat and check into accommodation.
In Moab
Nov. 10th
2:00pm – Gather at prearranged location for preliminary rundown on the workshop itself. This will include introductions, instructions, and a debriefing for the trip.
3:00pm – 7:00pm | Leave to shoot in Arches National Park / Canyonlands National Park
7:00pm | Wine & cheese critique session
Nov. 11th
6:00am – 9:30am | Shooting + a light breakfast
10:30am – 1:00pm | Side-by-side Photoshop & Lightroom processing instruction
1:00pm – 2:45pm | Lunch/nap & personal time
2:45pm – 6:45pm | Meet again to go shoot + catered to-go lunch
6:45 – 8:45 | Shower & dinner
8:45 – 10:00 | Optional late night shooting / wine & cheese critique time
Nov. 12th
6:00am – 9:30am | Shooting + a light breakfast
10:30am – 1:00pm | Side-by-side Photoshop & Lightroom processing instruction
1:00pm – 2:45pm | Lunch/nap & personal time

Nov. 13th
12:00pm | Depart Moab, arrive back in Denver at 6:00pm
What to bring for equipment, clothes and personal protection
Please prepare for a variety of weather conditions as early November in Moab may be cold. Daytime temperatures are typically between 60-70 degrees, with nighttime temperatures dipping down into the 30’s. We will be shooting at night and in the early morning which will be pretty chilly.

Computer with Photoshop and/or Lightroom
Camera body
Lenses
Tripod(s)
Batteries
Memory cards
Cleaning cloths
Camera straps
Lens caps
Remote shutter release
It is very important to bring a wide angle lens; if necessary, please rent one for the trip.
Any other equipment you desire
Personal accoutrements:
Sunscreen/bug spray
Walking/hiking shoes
Headlamp/flash lights
Rain gear/outdoor clothing
Sunglasses
Casual clothing
Personal medications, etc.
Tuition will include:
Food: light breakfast while shooting, lunch during the shooting sessions, evening to-go food while shooting in the evening, and wine & cheese at night.
Van ride from Denver to Moab and from Moab back to Denver.
Side-by-side instruction daily during shooting sessions.
Side-by-side Photoshop & Lightroom critique/instruction from Steve & Jeff.
Printing services – on site in Moab! Hold the end result in your own hands after learning & executing the entire digital photography workflow from start to finish.
Critiquing sessions.
Other costs to consider:
Attendees will be responsible for dinner each night and any additional food they desire. This includes food during the drive to and from Moab.
National park entrance fees.
Trinkets and memorabilia.
Last minute gear purchases – you may not realize you need something until you get out there!

*Steve and Jeff will be staying at __________. This is where we will be meeting as a group for lessons, meetings, and debriefing; we suggest staying relatively close by since each morning we will be departing from this as the group’s “home base” very early in the morning and meeting there multiple times per day.

We will be providing a large, comfortable travel van for everyone in the group to travel to/from Moab.
You are free to take your own means of transportation if it suits you better. But, we encourage riding in the van with the other group members – it’s more cost effective and part of the fun!

The deadline to sign up for this trip is Oct. 13th. Sign up soon to reserve your spot!
This expedition is limited to 10 participants.
Cancellation policy
All registrations and payments are non-refundable. In the case that an unavoidable scheduling conflict does arise, you are free to arrive late or depart early from the trip so that you may at least get a partial experience & education.
This workshop is designed for a maximum of 10 participants, if too few people register making the trip financially unviable; it will be canceled – which will entitle you to a full refund. This is highly unlikely but possible.
