The weather is getting warmer, you know what that means? Washington Park will be filled all summer long with walks, races and fundraisers supporting a wide variety of causes. Did you know Washington Park doesn’t receive any of that money? This fundraiser is a little different. FANS or Friends and Neighbors of Washington Park is hosting the first ever FANS Washington Park Photo Contest a fund raising event with the proceeds going to Washington Park Projects. The photography contest is open to all ages and skill levels. It is $5.00 per entry and you can enter as many photos as you like. To enter photos go to FANSWashingtonPark.org. There will be cash prizes for Best in Show, First and Second place in each of the following categories: Nature, Place and People. The winning photos will be displayed at the July 4^th Celebration in the Boathouse. The contest will close on May 15^th, 2013 so get your photos in soon!
